We just wrapped up our new kitchen project with Harvey Jones, and we couldn't be happier! It feels like we’re living in a showroom every single day, but it’s all ours!

Our designer, Lewis Buckley, was a huge factor in choosing Harvey Jones. His expertise blew us away! He quickly grasped our family’s needs and preferences, and his enthusiasm was contagious. He suggested ideas we hadn’t even considered, and they truly made a difference.

From the get-go, Lewis was upfront with us, especially about costs, and he guided us through the whole process. He was always there when we needed him, and nothing was ever too much hassle.

I also want to shout out to the installation crew, the worktop team, and the painters. Each one was careful and respectful while working in our home.

I wholeheartedly recommend Harvey Jones, especially Lewis!

For about four months now, we've been in touch with Harvey Jones in Cardiff after putting down a £1500 deposit. The design discussions were decent, and we looked at a bunch of options, always being told we were on track for a summer 2023 installation. However, the design consultation itself was a bit of a mess, with the designer needing to come to our place three times to get measurements because they kept coming up with different numbers. We’ve had to constantly push to keep things moving, and honestly, without a lot of nudging, I think everything would have just ground to a halt. About ten days ago, we finally reached a point where the near-final design was settled, and I was getting ready to pay the next installment (which is 50% of the total cost) to proceed.

Then yesterday, I got a call from someone at Harvey Jones' head office, a person I’d never talked to before. They told me that if I paid upfront (£25000), I could secure my spot for summer delivery and installation. If not, I’d be pushed to the back of the line, and there was no guarantee I’d get my kitchen when we had originally agreed. This amount is way more than the 50% I thought I’d be paying at this point.

At first, I thought it was some kind of scam!

I felt like they were making me out to be the issue, claiming that my indecision on the design was why they needed to rush me. But then I learned that Harvey Jones had overcommitted to too many clients, and this was their way of managing expectations and prioritizing orders.

I’m really upset about how I’ve been treated. They sent me a set of bank details (no invoice) and pushed me to transfer £25000 as soon as possible. This is all happening without a final design being approved and no guarantee on the final kitchen price. I still can’t shake the feeling that this might be a scam, and I’m genuinely concerned about my consumer rights.

This whole situation is a complete disaster in terms of customer service, and I’m furious that my entire building project is now at risk because of their unprofessionalism.

Today, I’ve asked to speak with someone higher up to sort this out and will insist that they stick to the promises made and the original timeline.

My faith in Harvey Jones has taken a serious hit, and I’m seriously thinking about taking my business elsewhere. If I do, I’ll be looking into legal advice to get my deposit back and possibly claim for any extra building costs I might face due to their incompetence.

They guided me through every step of the design process and ensured we were completely satisfied with all aspects before the kitchen was constructed. They treated us like we were their top priority and appeared to be quite knowledgeable. Fantastic product, I’d surely recommend it.

We collaborated with Jules and his crew who crafted our kitchen - he truly made it a breeze - we ended up with precisely the kitchen we envisioned. He delivered on every promise, from beginning to end. The quality exceeded our expectations - it brings me joy every time I see it! Would I consider another Harvey Jones kitchen? Absolutely, and I’d be super thrilled about it.

Over £100,000 Spent and Still Waiting

Our big kitchen renovation kicked off in April 2022, and it was meant to wrap up in just 6 or 7 weeks. Let’s just say, it’s been a bumpy ride, and we’re still not done. I even had to Google around and email the CEO just to get some sort of response.

We’ve shelled out more than £100,000 to Harvey Jones alone, and that doesn’t even cover what we’ve paid our own plumbers, painters, and flooring pros.

Now, it’s mid-January 2023, and the kitchen still isn’t signed off. I find myself constantly chasing them for updates on when the work will finally be finished.

The latest issue? Their fitted boiler cupboard is blocking my actual boiler from being opened, which is a safety issue. British Gas won’t even touch it until that’s sorted out.

I’m planning to reach out to their CEO or managing director again. Honestly, I expected way better service, especially after their management buyout last year and given how much we’ve spent. Feeling pretty let down...

I’m really thrilled with my Harvey Jones kitchen. From the beginning to the end, collaborating with the Bristol crew to create my ideal kitchen has been a joy! Jess Moult was fantastic to work alongside—super patient, friendly, and always seemed truly invested in the project, with no request being too much. We had our HJ kitchen installed just before Christmas after many redesigns by the incredible and super patient Sean in Westbourne. We are thrilled with it and can't say enough good things about Harvey Jones, both for their design and quality. The aftercare has been outstanding as well. The fitting went off without a hitch, and the painting was handled by true artisans who took great pride in their craft. Sean really listened to our 'wish list' for the new kitchen and did his utmost to fit it all into a tricky space (thanks to planning issues). We're so happy we wandered into the Westbourne branch 'just to look' over a year ago and ended up chatting with Sean, which led to the start of our gorgeous new kitchen.

I can hardly believe it’s been more than ten years since we teamed up with Rachel Scott at Harvey Jones in Sheen. Rachel was the mastermind behind our kitchen makeover, and it was such a pleasant journey. From beginning to end, Rachel and her crew were top-notch, attentive, and super skilled at their craft.

During the first meeting, they really took the time to grasp what we were after and provided some fantastic design ideas and tips that helped turn our vision into reality. Plus, Rachel was always on hand to tackle any questions or worries we had, which made everything so much easier.

Now, over a decade later, we’re still head over heels for our kitchen. Rachel and the folks at Harvey Jones truly care about their clients and consistently deliver amazing results.

I'd totally give it 4.5 stars if that was an option. I'm really enjoying my new kitchen, and Zoe from the Birmingham office was a pleasure to deal with. She knew her stuff and was super quick to respond to all my questions, even after hours. Just a heads up, you gotta be a bit patient, and yeah, they ain't cheap, but the quality is top-notch.

The crew at Harvey Jones, including Sarah and Allison, were absolutely amazing. They brought my ideal kitchen to reality. Their attention to detail was impressive, and they were always willing to help. Harvey Jones provides a premium product that’s truly worth the investment. The craftsmanship and quality of the cabinets are unmatched. I’d totally recommend them to anyone.
